Oro dads approve SK Tignapoloan budget
THE 20th City Council, in its regular session on Monday, presided over by Vice Mayor Bebot Rodriguez, has approved the resolution returning to the Sangguniang Kabataan of Barangay Tignapoloan its 2024 annual budget with an estimated income of ₱832,256.00.
This budget, which account for 10% of the barangay's general fund, is earmarked for youth development and empowerment programs, as well as other operational expenses necessary for the SK to effectively implement its initiatives.
The SK Tignapoloan is set to focus on various key areas, including health, equitable access to quality education, youth employment and livelihood, gender sensitivity, governance, capability building and leadership, environmental protection, climate change adaptation, disaster risk reduction and management (DRRM), and agriculture, with a specific allocation of ₱505,000.00 dedicated to these programs.
The legislation was reviewed and endorsed by the Committees on Sports and Youth Development, chaired by Councilor Kenneth John D. Sacala, and on Laws and Rules, chaired by Councilor Edgar S. Cabanlas.
