Oro dads approve SK Pagalungan 2024 budget

IN its session Monday presided over by Vice Mayor Bebot Rodriguez, the 20th City Council approved a resolution returning as operative the 2024 annual budget of Sangguniang Kabataan of Brgy. Pagalungan, this city.

The said budget, amounting to ₱656,928.00 is the SK’s 10% share from the barangay’s annual budget pursuant to Republic Act 10742, or the Sangguniang Kabataan Reform Act of 2015.

The Pagalungan SK allotted funds for honorarium of SK members and for maintenance and operating expenses, including costs for travel, training, office supplies, fidelity bond premiums, and membership dues to the SK Federation.

It also provided funds for various youth development and empowerment programs in the barangay such as health services, adolescent sexual and reproductive health, equitable access to education, youth employment and livelihood, gender sensitivity, peace-building and security, governance, capacity building and leadership training, environmental protection, climate change adaptation, disaster risk reduction, and agriculture.

The said legislation was reviewed and endorsed by the Committee on Sports and Youth Development, chaired by Councilor Kenneth John D. Sacala, and Committee on Laws and Rules, chaired by Councilor Edgar S. Cabanlas.
