Oro dads approve SK budget of brgys 14, 29

THE 20th City Council, during its 82nd regular session presided by Vice Mayor Bebot Rodriguez, approved the 2024 annual budget of the Sangguniang Kabataan (SK) of Barangays 14 and 29.

Barangay 14 SK has a total income of P720,029.00, while Barangay 29 has P427,735.00. These funds have been sourced from their barangay's 10% development fund, in accordance with Republic Act No. 10742, also known as the SK Reform Act.

Both SKs have allocated funds for the payment of personal services for their council members as well as for maintenance and operating expenses. The funded programs, projects, and activities focus on youth development in their respective barangays, with key areas including health, environment, active citizenship, education, governance, peace-building, and security.

The said budgets were reviewed and endorsed by the Committee on Sports and Youth Development, chaired by Councilor Kenneth John D. Sacala, and Committee on Laws and Rules, chaired by Councilor Edgar S. Cabanlas.
