Oro dads approve SK budget of 3 brgys

THE 20th City Council, on its Monday session presided over by Vice Mayor Bebot Rodriguez, returned as operative the annual budget for calendar year 2024 of the Sangguniang Kabataan of Brgy. Gusa, Brgy. 1, and Brgy. 9.   

Brgy. Gusa's SK Council has allocated ₱3,479,671.00; Brgy 1, ₱398,900.39, and Brgy. 9, ₱370,209.00.

In accordance with Republic Act No. 10742, also known as the SK Reform Act, the funds will be utilized for various programs, projects, and activities for youth development.

These initiatives aim to enhance health services, promote active citizenship, improve education, protect the environment, and support peacebuilding and security in their respective barangays, among others.

The budgets will also cover the honoraria for SK personnel and the procurement of necessary office supplies and equipment.

The legislations were endorsed by the Committees on Sports and Youth Development and on Laws and Rules, chaired by Councilors Kenneth John D. Sacala and Edgar S. Cabanlas, respectively.
