Oro Dads approve MOU with DPWH

IN its regular session Monday presided by Vice Mayor Bebot Rodriguez, the 20th City Council enacted an ordinance authorizing City Mayor Rolando“Klarex” A. Uy to enter into and sign the Memorandum of Understanding (MOU) with the Department of Public Works and Highways-Cagayan de Oro City First District Engineering Office.

The MOU covers the implementation of the CY 2023 Farm-to-Market Road (FMR) projects located in Barangays Tagpangi and Lumbia.


Under the MOU, the DPWH shall prepare the Program of Works (POWs) and Detailed Engineering Design (DED) and shall consider the 10% counterpart fund of the City in the amount of P2.7M for the concreting of FMR projects in Barangays Tagpangi and Lumbia, this city.


It shall also be responsible for the 100% completion of the project in case the contractors default in the implementation of the said project and facilitate the turn-over of the FMR projects to the city in accordance with the provisions of the MOU.


For its part, the City shall monitor the project implementation of the said FMR and maintain the road condition after completion and turn-over by the DPWH.


The legislation was reviewed and endorsed by the Committees on Agriculture and Cultural Communities and on Laws and Rules respectively chaired by Councilors Jay R. Pascual and Edgar S. Cabanlas.
