Oro dads approve MOA with DOH CHD NM for MAIFIP
THE 20th City Council, during its regular session on Monday, presided over by Vice Mayor Bebot Rodriguez, enacted an ordinance authorizing City Mayor Rolando A. Uy to sign a Memorandum of Agreement (MOA) with the Department of Health Northern Mindanao - Center for Health Development (DOH CHD NM) to implement the Medical Assistance to Indigent and Financially Incapacitated Patients (MAIFIP) Program through J.R. Borja General Hospital.
In his letter to the City Council, Mayor Uy emphasized that under the agreement, the DOH CHD NM will allocate funds to JRBGH to support the MAIFIP program. This initiative provides hospitalization and medical assistance to indigent and financially incapacitated patients, covering services such as inpatient care, outpatient services, comprehensive check-ups, emergency services, FDA-approved drugs and medicines, and professional fees, all under DOH guidelines.
The ordinance was sponsored by the City Council’s Committee on Health and Health Insurance, chaired by Councilor Maria Lourdes S. Gaane, and the Committee on Laws and Rules, chaired by Councilor Edgar S. Cabanlas.
