Oro dads approve Brgy 30 budget

Programs and projects funded for this year in Barangay 30 are set to be implemented.

This comes after the 20th City Council, during its 99th regular session presided over by Vice Mayor Bebot Rodriguez, adopted a resolution approving the ₱3,840,209.00 annual budget of the said barangay.

20% is allocated for its development fund amounting to ₱470,422 for the rehabilitation of material recovery facilities and desilting of drainage and canals; ₱384,021 for the implementation of youth development program through the Sangguniang Kabataan; and ₱192,010 for the purchase of calamity-related supplies and equipment and quick response fund.

Services for health, nutrition, culture, gender and development, protection of children, anti-drug abuse, community-based rehabilitation, and aid to senior citizens and persons with disabilities were also included.

The 2024 annual budget of Barangay 30 was favorably recommended for approval after having been found to be in legal order and having complied with the basic requirements pursuant to the relevant provisions of the Local Government Code (RA 7160).

The said legislation was reviewed and endorsed by the Committees on Barangay Affairs and on Laws and Rules chaired by Councilor Yan Lam Lim and Councilor Edgar Lim, respectively.
