Oro dads accredit CWGG for LSB membership
THE Citizen’s Watch for Good Governance (CWGG) is now a member of the Cagayan de Oro Local Special Bodies (LSB) after the 20th City Council, presided by Vice Mayor Bebot Rodriguez, adopted a resolution accrediting the organization.
Pursuant to the Department of Interior and Local Government (DILG) circular and Implementing Rules and Regulations (IRR) of the Local Government Code, the said accredited CSO can now avail of government funding for their respective projects.
The CWGG is affiliated with the GROUP Foundation, Inc., a non-stock, non-profit, and non-government organization founded by a group of professional community organizers in 1984 aiming to organize landless and homeless communities who are willing to purchase landowner’s property through the assistance of the Social Housing Finance Corporation (SHFC), a subsidiary of the National Home Mortgage Corporation (NHMC).
The legislation was reviewed and endorsed by the City Council Committees on Planning, Research and Innovation and People’s Organization Accreditation and on Laws and Rules respectively chaired by Councilors Ian Mark Q. Nacaya and Edgar S. Cabanlas.
