OCD-10 employees to benefit health services at JRBGH

The Office of the Civil Defense Region 10 (OCD-10) can now avail of healthcare services at the city-owned JR Borja General Hospital (JRBGH).

This, after the 19th City Council during its regular session presided over by Vice Mayor Raineir Joaquin V. Uy enacted an ordinance authorizing City Mayor Oscar Moreno to enter into and sign the

Memorandum of Agreement (MOA) with the OCD-10, covering the engagement by the latter’s employees of the hospital and medical services of the JRBGH.

In his letter to the City Council, Mayor Moreno said this is another collaboration between the concerned national government office and the local government which further enhances the health services being provided by the city-run hospital.

He added that the collaboration is a strong manifestation of the trust and confidence on the capability of JRBGH in providing competent and quality services despite their availability in the private hospitals in the city.

The agreement shall take effect on the date of signing and shall remain in full force and effect for a period of one year.

The legislation was reviewed and endorsed by the committees on health and on laws and rules chaired by Councilors Maria Lourdes S. Gaane and Ian Mark Q. Nacaya, respectively.
