NHA resettlement program to ‘Odette’ victims in the offing
THE National Housing Authority's (NHA) Resettlement Assistance Program for the victims of Typhoon Odette will soon be implemented through the Dansolihon Resettlement Project.
This, as the 20th City Council during its regular session presided over by City Vice Mayor Bebot Rodriguez enacted an ordinance authorizing City Mayor Rolando A. Uy to enter into and sign the Memorandum of Agreement (MOA) with the NHA covering the said program, as part of the Cagayan de Oro City Balik Probinsya Bagong Pag-asa (BP2) Housing Project.
In his letter to the City Council, Mayor Uy said that the housing project of the city will address the housing needs of the BP2 beneficiaries.
He informed the legislative body that the said agreement would enhance the social development of the resettlement sites as the city government would offer essential assistance to the community. The MOA was reviewed and endorsed by the Committees on Subdivision and Landed Estate and Laws and Rules both chaired by Councilor Edgar S. Cabanlas.
