New official signatories of city government OKd

THE 20th City Council during its 2nd regular session Monday presided over by Vice Mayor Jocelyn B. Rodriguez adopted a resolution authorizing Mayor Rolando A. Uy, City Administrator Roy Hilario P. Raagas and the vice mayor as the official signatories for all transactions of the city government with the city’s depository banks corresponding to their respective level of authority effective July 1, 2022 and for the duration of their term of office.

As authorized, Mayor Uy shall sign all checks chargeable against the funds of the city government except for checks drawn on the City Treasury for expenditures of the Sangguniang Panlungsod.

For her part, Vice Mayor Rodriguez shall sign all checks for all expenditures appropriated for the operation of the Sangguniang Panlungsod.

City Administrator Atty. Raagas shall approve or countersign checks for the payment of payrolls and vouchers covering salaries, wages, honoraria, allowances, and other personal benefits, subsistence for the different centers, and the like, as authorized under the Annual and Supplemental Budgets of the city.

He shall likewise sign purchase requests, requisition issue slip (RIS), purchase orders (POs) and vouchers not exceeding P50,000 unless the vouchers to be approved are for financial assistance, in which case, pre-approval by the mayor is required regardless of amount.

The legislation was approved by all members of the City Council.
