New Balubal super health center soon to rise

A NEW super health center will be constructed in Barangay Balubal.

Through an ordinance, the 20th City Council during its regular session Monday presided over by City Vice Mayor Bebot Rodriguez, authorized City Mayor Rolando A. Uy to enter into and sign the Memorandum of Agreement (MOA) with the Department of Health-Center for Health Development Northern Mindanao (DOH-CHDNM) for the said project. The construction of the Balubal Health Center is under the DOH’s Health Facility Enhance Program (HFEP 2022).

Mayor Uy informed the Council that the said project will certainly enhance the healthcare services of the present health center facility in Barangay Balubal. “After all, the Universal Health Care Law is directed to ensure the achievement of the health system, ensuring that all Filipinos especially the disadvantaged have equitable access to affordable health care facilities”, he said.

The ordinance was sponsored by the Committee on Health, Nutrition, and Health Insurance and Committee on Laws and Rules chaired by Councilors Maria Lourdes S. Gaane and Edgar S. Cabanlas, respectively.
