Nacaya wants spelling of ‘T. Chavez St.’ rectified
Ato siguro angay koreksyunan with an “s”.
This was manifested by Councilor Ian Mark Q. Nacaya during the regular session Monday relative to his special report requesting for immediate correction of the spelling of the street name from T. Chavez to T. Chaves, citing that the first is not a Kagay-anon family name as verified by his friend, who is a member of the family.
According to Nacaya, the marker is located between Hayes and Velez Streets and declared as heritage not only of the city but also of the country.
If not sa mga lideres nato sa kagahapon, dili ta mahimong unsa kita karon,” the councilor explained.
Nacaya also urged the City Historical Commission of the Philippines, and all other agencies involved, including the city administrator, to supervise and check all the street names in the city specifically the spelling, historical basis, and the acknowledgement of their installation.
