Nacaya supports use of Ivermectin vs COVID-19

COUNCILOR Ian Mark Q. Nacaya on Monday attested to the efficacy of Ivermectin based on his personal experience when he tested positive for Covid-19 and went on isolation for the two weeks.

In support to the special report of Councilor Eric D. Salcedo during Monday’s regular session, Nacaya said while experiencing several symptoms of the disease, he took the medicine as advised not only by some of his friends and relatives but also thru his personal readings on the internet.

In anticipation for the worse, Nacaya said he also tried to purchase Remdesivir but the same has become pricey and unavailable.

“Supportive ko anang Ivermectin no matter what DOH Secretary or whoever will tell nga dili maayo. Based on my personal experience and accounts of other people who have been sharing with me the information about this medicine, I say I am still supportive, it’s a very low-priced medicine,” the councilor further manifested.

The councilor further challenged the public to always protect their families by practicing the health protocols even at home especially when the symptoms start to manifest.

“Di gyud nimo matagna aha nimo makuha (ang virus). Pero upon knowing (the symptoms) diretso na dayon depensa para sa pamilya,” Nacaya stressed.
