Moreno graces summit vs child labor, abuse

COUNCILOR Imee Rose Moreno, chair of the City Council committee on women and family relations, attended the 2nd National Stakeholder’s Summit of the Councils and Interagency Bodies in addressing the Worst Forms of Child Labor including Online Sexual Abuse and Exploitation of Children held at Novotel, Cubao, Quezon City.

Councilor Moreno expressed gratitude to the World Vision Project Against Child Exploitation for choosing Cagayan de Oro again as one of its pilot cities for the program.

The councilor said she is looking forward to helping and addressing the serious issues of the exploitation of children.

She cited that there are many problems in the city relating to the abuse of women and children, which need to be addressed. The children of today are the future builders of our nation, thus parental guidance is highly needed, she adds.
