MOA with XUCCCO Ok’d

This after the 20th City Council, during its regular session on Monday, presided over by City Vice Mayor Bebot Rodriguez, authorized City Mayor Klarex Uy to sign the Memorandum of Agreement (MOA) with the Xavier University Community Credit Cooperative (XUCCCO), represented by its Chairperson, Milbert P. Dialogo.


The MOA covers the grant of financial assistance (allowance) at ₱1,000.00 each to selected twenty-five (25) trainees of the City College of Cagayan de Oro.


The agreement establishes a partnership between the parties to enhance the employability of Kagay-anons, develop a skilled workforce for local communities, and create economic opportunities for marginalized citizens to improve their overall social and economic well-being.


This collaboration aligns with the city government’s Safety, Security, and Human Development component of which improvement of education as well as technical skills development quality are given particular focus and emphasis.


The legislation was sponsored by the Committees on Education and Laws and Rules chaired by Councilors Suzette Magtajas-Daba and Edgar Cabanlas, respectively.
