MOA with Megaworld Ok’d
QUALIFIED city scholars will receive financial support from Megaworld Foundation, Inc.
This after the 20th City Council, during its regular session on Monday, presided over by City Vice Mayor Bebot Rodriguez, authorized City Mayor Klarex Uy to sign the Memorandum of Agreement (MOA) with the Megaworld Foundation, Inc., represented by its President, Dr. Francisco C. Canuto.
The MOA covers the partnership of the parties in the implementation of the City’s Scholarship Program by the City Education and Development Office (CEDO).
The agreement seeks to provide financial assistance and benefits to economically challenged but deserving and qualified student grantees of the City Scholarship Program.
The foundation upon request of the City through the CEDO has agreed to set aside a mutually agreed sum for the establishment and maintenance of a scholarship grant for grantees enrolled in Business Engineering, Information Technology and Hotel Restaurant and Management to enable them to obtain quality education.
This collaboration aligns with the city government’s RISE agenda, of which education and skills training are given particular focus and emphasis.
