Macabalan annual budget OK’d

Through a resolution, the 20th City Council, on its regular session Monday presided over by Vice Mayor Jocelyn B. Rodriguez, returned as operative to Barangay Macabalan its Annual Budget for CY 2023 with an estimated income of P27,914,163.

Of the amount, the barangay allocated P3,797,936 (20% development fund) for the installation of barangay-wide lighting system and solar street lighting system, construction of movable railing and comfort rooms at Piaping Puti and Piaping Itom and at Barra and Punta covered courts.

Macabalan also allocated funds for Solid Waste Management program as well as for declogging of its canals (barangay-wide). The rest of the appropriations were reserved for the payment of personal services, special purpose appropriation, capital outlay and maintenance and other operating expenses (MOOE).

The legislation was reviewed and endorsed by the committees on barangay affairs and on laws and rules chaired by Councilors Yan Lam S. Lim and Edgar S. Cabanlas, respectively.
