Just payment to lot owners OKd

THE payment of the claim for just compensation to a lot owner was approved by the 19th City Council headed by Vice Mayor Raineir Joaquin V. Uy.

During the regular session Monday, legislators enacted an ordinance appropriating an amount to be made available for the payment of a property affected by the proposed six-meter widening of Malasag Road, located in Malasag, Barangay Cugman.

The just compensation payment was recommended by the Local Finance Committee, City Mayor’s Office, City Legal Office, and City Appraisal Committee with the information that the derivation or the source of the appraised value was from the average value between the schedule of market value and BIR zonal value.

The ordinance was reviewed and endorsed by the committees on subdivision and landed estate, on finance, budget and appropriation, and on laws and rules chaired by Councilors Edgar S. Cabanlas, Edna M. Dahino, and Ian Mark Q. Nacaya, respectively.
