Just compensation to lot owner OKd

The city government of Cagayan de Oro continues to settle its obligation to lot owners of properties affected by the city road project in Barangay Macasandig.

This, after the 20th City Council during its regular session presided over by City Vice Mayor Bebot Rodriguez, enacted an ordinance appropriating an amount to fully pay the claim for just compensation including documentation and registration expenses of a portion of a lot that was affected by the 10.00-meter road right-of-way in the said barangay.

The City Council likewise authorized City Mayor Rolando A. Uy to sign the corresponding Deed of Absolute Sale for the said property. The ordinance was reviewed and endorsed by the Committee on Subdivision and Landed Estate, Committee on Finance, Budget and Appropriations, and Committee on Laws and Rules respectively chaired by Councilors Edgar S. Cabanlas and Yan Lam S. Lim.
