Just compensation payment to lot owner affected by city project okayed

THE just compensation payment to the owner of plants and trees in Barangay Tignapoloan that were affected by the city project was approved by the 20th City Council.

During its regular session on Monday presided over by City Vice Mayor Bebot Rodriguez the legislative body enacted an ordinance appropriating funds for the full payment of the claims for improvements, including plants and trees, affected by the right-of-way. This project involves the road opening and concrete paving of Sitio Dunggoan Road, which was realigned to Sitio Litig in the said barangay.

The City Council also authorized City Mayor Rolando A. Uy to sign the deed of absolute sale for the purpose.

The legislation was sponsored by the Committees on Finance, Budget and Appropriation, Subdivision and Landed Estate, and Laws and Rules respectively chaired by Councilors Yan Lam Lim and Edgar S. Cabanlas.
