Implementation of projects in three brgys seen

MORE projects are up for implementation in Barangay 11, Carmen and Lapasan this year.

With its projected budget of P2.8 million, Barangay 11 has earmarked funds for the rehabilitation of drainage facilities, declogging of canals and installation of lighting facilities.

Meanwhile, from the 10-percent Development Fund of its estimated income of P85 million budget, Barangay Carmen is out to implement its green energy electrification project and will pursue the installation of its street lighting system, declogging of canals and rehabilitation of its multipurpose buildings and daycare centers

For its part, Lapasan, with a budget of P45 million, is eyeing the rehabilitation of its multi-purpose hall and facilities and the purchase of two garbage trucks and three utility vans this year.

It may be recalled that the City Council headed by Vice Mayor Raineir Joaquin V. Uy on Monday, October 25 adopted resolutions giving the go signal to the barangays to implement their respective budgets.

The resolutions were endorsed by the committees on barangay affairs and on laws and rules chaired by Councilors Yan Lam Lim and Ian Mark Nacaya, respectively.
