Iligan’s adoption of CdeO tourism info mngt system okayed

The Tourism Management Information System (TMIS) through a digital information project to Iligan City will soon be implemented.

CdeO 20th City Council during the 77th Regular Session

This, after the 20th City Council headed by Vice Mayor Bebot Rodriguez, during its regular session presided over by Presiding Officer Protempore Councilor Romeo Calizo enacted the ordinance authorizing City Mayor Rolando A. Uy to enter into and sign the Memorandum of Agreement (MOA) with the city government of Iligan City, represented by its City Mayor, Hon.  Frederick W. Siao for the purpose.

The TMIS is a system software developed by the City Tourism and Cultural Affairs Office (CTCAO) in collaboration with the City Management Information System and Innovation Department (CMISID) to aid and monitor the primary tourism enterprises and tourism-related establishments of the city.

In line with this, the City Government of Iligan has manifested its interest in installing the systems software in the computers of its City Tourism Office that will digitalize its tourism-related information.

The said MOA was thoroughly reviewed by the City Legal Office and found the same legally sound and thus posed no legal objection thereto.

The ordinance was sponsored by the Committees on Tourism and Laws and Rules, chaired by Councilors Jay R. Pascual and Edgar S. Cabanlas, respectively.
