Health comm backs MOA with Veterans Office, JRBGH

IN its meeting last week, the City Council Committee on Health, Nutrition and Health Insurance, chaired by Councilor Maria Lourdes S. Gaane, endorsed for approval the request of City Mayor Rolando A. Uy for an authority to sign the Memorandum of Agreement (MOA) with the Philippine Veterans Affairs Office and the JR Borja General Hospital (JRBGH).

The MOA covers the desire of the Philippine Veterans Office to accredit their contract with the LGU-CDOC in extending hospitalization and medical care benefits to all veterans and their eligible dependents.

Under the MOA, the city government, thru the JRBGH, shall extend hospital care and treatment to veterans and their dependents and provide all available services in accordance with generally accepted practices in all discipline/ specialties of medicine, among others.
