Health cmte endorses DOH’s donation of ambulance to city

The City Council committee on health, nutrition, and health insurance chaired by Councilor Maria Lourdes S. Gaane favorably endorsed the Deed of Donation between the Department of Health (DOH) and the city government for the donation of one-unit ambulance.

The ambulance, including equipment, costs P1.9 million.

DOH’s program “Boosting Universal Health Care via FOURmula One for Health Plus (or F1+)” envisions quality health care to be more accessible to the poor and vulnerable population by ensuring the availability of functional health care facilities.

The provision of the ambulance shall contribute to the functionality of the health system and the delivery of quality health care.

Local government units are partners of the DOH in implementing health programs and in delivering quality health services.

The Deed of Donation was endorsed to the committee on laws and rules chaired by Councilor Ian Mark Q. Nacaya for appropriate action.
