Goking tackles complaint vs crematorium
THE City Council committee on trade and commerce chaired by Councilor George S. Goking during its meeting Friday discussed in aid of legislation the cremation services of Divine Shepherd Memorial Garden in Barangay Bulua.
Councilor Goking said the complaint regarding black smoke coming from the crematorium that affects the health of the residents in the area must be solved.
He added that if there are things to be repaired or lack of maintenance, these should be acted upon immediately.
The councilor reminded the business sector that the protection of people and the environment should always be given importance.
The committee adopted a resolution informing Raffy Tulfo, host/anchorman of Raffy Tulfo in Action of TV 5 that the Committee on Trade and Commerce of the Sangguniang Panlungsod of Cagayan de Oro has already taken official cognizance of the complaint and is investigating the same in the interest of the health and economic security of the city.
