Goking sees higher RPT collections

Councilor George S. Goking, chair of the City Council committee on ways and means, hopes for a better collection of real property taxes this year.

He encouraged taxpayers to pay in advance to avail themselves of the 20 percent discount on their taxes due the government, surcharges and penalties.

This will also help the city to finance its projects for further development.

The 20% discount for advance and prompt payment of Real Property Tax (RPT) is provided for under Section 10 of Ordinance No. 12860-2014, or the Cagayan de Oro City Revenue Code of 2015. (APDelgra/SP)
