Goking re-elected as PCL-10 chair

Councilor George S. Goking thanked his fellow councilors from Northern Mindanao region for supporting his candidacy after he was recently re-elected unopposed as chairman of the Philippine Councilors’ League-Region 10.

The PCL Regional Council election was held in Davao City last week. Councilor Goking said he will address the concerns raised by councilors during the previous term. He added he is open to the ideas and suggestions of his colleagues.

The oath taking was administered by Department of Interior and Local Government (DILG) region 10 director Wilhelm Suyko. Other PCL-10 officers include Atty. Michelle N. Anayron (Misamis Oriental), vice chairman; Samuel P. Huertas (Iligan City)-Secretary; Armando S. Evangelista Jr. (Bukidnon)- Treasurer; Lyndon L. Abucay (Lanao del Norte), Auditor; Jose Rufino B. Ladao (Camiguin), Public Relations Officer.

Councilor Goking said he is planning to organize an economic conference in the city and a national economic summit. He emphasized the need for the government’s policymakers to sit down and discuss the looming economic crises due to the effect of the pandemic.
