Goking graces CDO-TVI graduation

CITY Councilor George S. Goking graced the Graduation Ceremony of the Technical Vocational Institute on Wednesday representing City Mayor Rolando A. Uy.

The Cagayan de Oro Technical Vocational Institute (TVI) is run by the city government of Cagayan de Oro.

In his inspirational speech, Councilor Goking congratulated all those who completed their respective courses despite the pandemic.

“Even if the Covid-19 pandemic shook the whole world both in health and economy, with the grace of our Lord the school was able to survive and successfully produce more than 300 graduates. The cooperation and unity of students, teachers, and parents made the event a success,” he cited.

Councilor Goking assured the graduates that the government will continue to support them even in finding jobs that fit their courses. He added that as the chairman of the committee on trade and commerce, he will continue to find ways and invite businessmen to invest in the city to create more jobs.

The councilor said he is hoping that those who dropped out of school will be able to pursue their education.

“It is the only weapon to change lives,” he stressed. (SP/APDelgra)
