Goking graces Brigada Eskwela program

COUNCILOR George S. Goking, chairman of the City Council committees on trade and commerce and on ways and means, yesterday graced the Brigada Eskwela program at the Bulua National High School.

In his message, Councilor Goking stressed the need for the principals, teachers, parents, stakeholders, alumni, and students to unite towards a common goal.

“Today, as we start the annual Brigada Eskwela, with the theme, “Bayanihan Para Sa Paaralan,” may we be reminded of the main goal for this activity which is to ensure that our learners will have a clean, safe and comfortable learning environment,” he cited.

He pointed out that with the ongoing pandemic, the Brigada Eskwela program will not only mean maintenance and repairs but also adjusting to the new normal.

He said innovation is necessary and that teachers and students must be provided with the right environment, materials, and gadgets they need to adapt to the new learning methods.

The councilor stressed the need for the General Parent’s Teachers Associations (GPTA), stakeholders, and city government officials to work together to make the program a success.

He said as the hope of the nation, students must be given functional learning spaces and taught all aspects of life to prepare them to be successful in their future endeavors.

“As your city councilor, I will continue to support everybody the best way I can. We need to work together,” he stressed.
