Goking concerned of series of oil price hike

Councilor George S. Goking, chair of the City Council committee on trade and commerce, expressed his concern over the series of oil price hikes for the third straight week.

The councilor projects another round of oil price increase in the Philippines as demand for oil “picks up” with the easing COVID-19 restrictions globally.

Gasoline price is estimated to go up by P1.30 to P1.50 per liter, while diesel by P0.80 to P1.15 per liter.

Goking reminded the consuming public to be vigilant of the prices of basic commodities and be prudent in spending resources, even as he urges concerned government agencies to continue their price monitoring activities.
