Goking commends World Mission Society Church of God for holding bloodletting drive

COUNCILOR George S. Goking, chair of the City Council committees on trade and commerce and on ways and means, supports the 1,155th Worldwide Blood Drive spearheaded by the World Mission Society Church of God-Cagayan de Oro, in support of the Philippine Red Cross Misamis Oriental-Cagayan de Oro Chapter.

The World Mission Society Church of God, which has been leading the way to heal the body and mind of its neighbors, organized a blood donation campaign to celebrate the Passover. The society hosts blood drives around the world to help people in danger of losing their lives due to blood shortages.

The bloodletting activity was held last May 7, 2023, at Limketkai Mall, with the support of the Professional Regulatory Commission (PRC) and the Department of Health (DOH). The activity was also attended by Police Regional Office 10 Director Brigadier General Lawrence Coop and Misamis Oriental Provincial Board Member Princess Emano.

Councilor Goking expressed thanks to those who participated in the event and to the World Mission Society of God for the success of the bloodletting activity, saying their efforts are commendable because blood is life. Cooperation and unity play their role in helping everyone in need. He added that race, beliefs, and faith are not hindrances to success and unity. (APDelgra/SP)
