Goking cmte to tackle reported increase in prices of vegetables

CITY COUNCILOR George S. Goking, chair of the City Council committee on trade and commerce, will be looking into the complaints regarding the price of vegetables in the market today.

The Gavel learned that the committee will discuss this with the Department of Agriculture (DA) and Department of Trade and Industry (DTI).

Councilor Goking said that even if the law on demand and supply applies, there is still a need to find remedies and solutions to the problem.

He assured that his committee will validate reports, closely monitor the prices of vegetables in the city, and will look into suggestions and recommendations to help consumers.

We need to work together to possibly solve every problem, he stressed.
