Goking calls on taxpayers over NIRI

COUNCILOR George S. Goking, chair of both the City Council Committee on Trade & Commerce and on Committee on Ways & Means, reminds all taxpayers to abide by the Bureau of Internal Revenue (BIR) Revenue Memorandum Order (RMO) No. 43-2022 mandating the expiration of “Ask for Receipt” Notice on June 30, 2023. Thereafter, the “Notice to Issue Receipt/Invoice (NIRI)” shall take effect and establishments are enjoined to visit the Revenue District (RDO) where they are registered.

It was learned that there are prescribed policies and guidelines in the issuance and use of NIRI, pursuant to Revenue Regulations No. 10-2019. Councilor Goking likewise reminds the business sector of the updated BIR guidelines and penalties to avoid possible penalties for any violations.
