Goking bats for storage facility for vegetables
COUNCILOR George S. Goking is now looking into some ways aimed at sustaining the city’s agricultural sector.
It was learned that during harvest season, shipment of farm produce especially vegetables are affected due to bad weather, thereby incurring huge losses to farmers and growers.
For this, Councilor Goking said the City Council had enacted an ordinance that will help solve the problem through Public and Private Partnership (P4).
Councilor Goking said through the PPA approach, such products can be preserved by constructing appropriate storage facility.
This facility can help farmers preserve their products.
