Goking backs SMEs

Councilor George S. Goking, chair of the City Council committee on trade and commerce, said that whether the city’s economy would recover is unpredictable.

Like a roller coaster ride, there would be ups and downs so it is necessary to stabilize and harmonize all our actions so as to realize our economic recovery plan, he said.

Councilor Goking added that the local government should support SMEs. The SMEs can create more jobs for the residents and for those coming from nearby provinces and cities.

He hopes that everybody, especially the business sector, will support and cooperate with the local government, by renewing their business permits for calendar year 2023.
