Goking attends YMCA gab

Councilor George S. Goking, chair of both the Committee on trade and commerce and on ways and means, attended the 51st Annual Corporate Meeting of YMCA as representative of City Mayor Rolando A. Uy last February 4, 2023 at Empress Court Grand Caprice Restaurant, Limketkai, this City.

The YMCA meeting focused on its 2030 Global Strategy, its vision, mission, four pillars and strategic goals and principles which was adopted at the YMCA 20th World Council Meeting in Denmark last July 2022.

Among the top priorities of Cagayan de Oro YMCA, Inc. is the empowerment of the youth and community through meaningful programs and activities. It also aims to further strengthen partnerships and collaborations with stakeholders, partners and other organizations.

The organization thanked and recognized the unwavering support of its past presidents, with special mention to Congressman Rufus B. Rodriguez, Mr. Agapito Suan, Judge Dennis Alcantar as well as its members, volunteers, board members, and leadership teams for never faltering in their commitment to goodness to the lives of various communities.

Councilor Goking hopes for unity, cooperation for more success of the organization.
