Goking attends Liga assembly

Councilor George S. Goking, chair of the City Council committees on trade and commerce and on ways and means and at the same time regional president of PCL-10, attended the Liga Ng Mga Barangay assembly held last week at Luxe Hotel, this city.

During the activity, a copy of the City Council’s Resolution No. 14479-2023, declaring former president Rodrigo Roa Duterte as adopted son of Cagayan de Oro was presented personally to the PRRD.

Former President Duterte is best remembered and lauded for keeping his promise to fight criminality under his watch, eradicate illegal drugs, and for implementing the Build-Build-Build Program that benefited residents of the city. Senator Christopher Lawrence “Bong” Go was also declared as the adopted son of Cagayan de Oro through Resolution No. 14480-2023.

Councilor Goking said the Malasakit Center in the city initiated by Senator Go is now helping poor Kagay-anons in their hospitalization bills.
