Goking attends Anti-Red Tape Authority meeting

City Councilor George Sio Goking, chair of the City Council committees on trade and commerce and on ways and means, represented City Mayor Rolando A. Uy during the meeting of the Anti-Red Tape Authority.

The meeting was also attended by representatives from Cagayan de Oro Chamber of Commerce and Industry Foundation, Inc., Cagayan de Oro Filipino-Chinese Chamber of Commerce and Industry, Inc., Misamis Oriental Filipino-Chinese Chamber of Commerce and Industry, Inc. and Philippine Institute of Certified Public Accountants.

The meeting focused on ease of doing business engagement with the business community in Cagayan de Oro.

Councilor Goking welcomed the participants from various local and national government agencies for the orientation of Republic Act No. 11032, also known as Ease of Doing Business and Efficient Government Service Delivery Act.

A panel discussion on Ease of Doing Business Act was done with officials from the Bureau of Internal Revenue, City Building Official, Department of Trade and Industry, Land Transportation Office, Civil Service Commission, National Bureau of Investigation, National Economic and Development Authority, Cagayan de Oro City Police Office and other government agencies concerned, as resource persons.

Councilor Goking opined that faster economic recovery will be achieved with the full implementation of ARTA.
