Gaane invites attendance to World Mental Health Day 2024
Councilor Maria Lourdes S. Gaane, chair of the City Council Committee on Health, Nutrition, and Health Insurance, is inviting representatives from different offices of the City Government to attend the two-day event focused on Mental Health Awareness during the World Mental Health Day 2024, which started yesterday and will continue until today, October 11, 2024, from 8:00 a.m. to 4:00 p.m. at the City Tourism Hall.
This 2024, the psychosocial division of the City Social Welfare and Development Office, City Health Office, and the Medical Action Group will feature discussions, workshops, and activities on fostering mental health and well-being within the community.
“Maintaining good mental health in the workplace is crucial for employees and organizations. It directly impacts productivity, as employees with strong mental well-being are more focused, motivated, and efficient in their tasks,” Gaane stressed.
Improved mental well-being also enhances communication and teamwork, promoting positive collaboration among colleagues, she concluded.
