Gaane cmte to probe death of infant during delivery

THE City Council committee on health and health insurance chaired by Councilor Maria Lourdes S. Gaane is set to tackle the reported death of an infant during delivery at the Barangay Bulua Health Center.

This, after Councilor John Michael Seno during the City Council regular session on Monday presided over by Vice Mayor Raineir Joaquin V. Uy reported that the birthing mother was referred by the Patag Health Center to the health center of Bulua and was eventually referred to a private hospital. He said the delay may have caused the baby’s death.

Councilor Gaane assured that the committee will thoroughly look into the matter.

She said supposedly if there is a reason for referral it should be to a higher facility like hospitals, if possible.

“Rest assured nga sa committee nako will see to it unsa nahitabo gyud,” Gaane said.
