Emergency allowance of health workers up for review
The draft Memorandum of Agreement (MOA) between the city government and the Department of Health –Center for Health Development for Northern Mindanao for the grant of Health Emergency Allowance (HEA) of health care workers at the J.R. Borja General Hospital (JRBGH) will be reviewed by the 20th City Council headed by City Vice Mayor Jocelyn B. Rodriguez through the committee on health, nutrition, and health insurance chaired by Councilor Maria Lourdes S. Gaane.
This is in relation to the DOH administrative order providing HEA to public and private health care workers (HCWs) and non-HCWs involved in COIVD-19 response in accordance with the latest National Action Plan against COVID-19. Dr. Michael June C. Perez, acting chief of JRBGH, requested the City Council to authorize Mayor Rolando A. Uy to sign the MOA so that the hosipital’s HCWs and non-HCWs will get their respective HEA at the rate depending on their risk exposure classification.
