Electrification of Balubal relocation approved

Power lines at the Balubal Subdivision Phase 2 will be installed soon.

This development follows the 20th City Council's approval, during its Monday session presided over by Vice Mayor Bebot Rodriguez, of an ordinance authorizing City Mayor Rolando A. Uy to enter into and sign a contract for line extension with Cagayan Electric Power & Light Co., Inc. (CEPALCO), represented by its Vice President and Head of Customer Services Division, Engr. Jorey T. Alfaro.

In his letter, Mayor Uy emphasized the importance of this project in improving the infrastructure and living conditions for the relocation site's residents.

The ordinance was jointly endorsed by the Committee on Energy, chaired by Councilor Aga Suan, and the Committee on Laws and Rules, chaired by Councilor Edgar Cabanlas.
