Educ comm to tackle creation of CEDO

THE City Council Committee on Education, chaired by Councilor Suzette Magtajas-Daba, will convene today to discuss the proposed ordinance creating and establishing the office of the City Education Development Officer (CEDO) of Cagayan de Oro.

The creation of CEDO aims to provide inclusive and equitable quality education, promoting lifelong learning opportunities for Kagay-anon learners, among others.

The CEDO will expand the City Scholarships Office (CSO) functions to programming, management and coordination for the city’s education for sustainable development and human capital development initiatives.

The committee has invited City Legal Officer Atty. Kenneth Tamala, City Scholarships Office Head Richel Dahay and Mr. Jordan Ian Apat to attend the meeting.
