DOH-10 donates ambulance to city
A land ambulance will be handed out to the city government of Cagayan de Oro to improve health system's functionality and delivery of quality health care.
This, after the 20th City Council, in its regular session on Monday presided over by Vice Mayor Bebot Rodriguez, enacted an ordinance authorizing City Mayor Rolando A. Uy to sign the deed of donation executed by the Department of Health-Center for Health Development Northern Mindanao (DOH CHDNM) covering one land ambulance with equipment worth ₱2.5 Million.
As donee, the city is responsible that the ambulance is properly classified, recorded as a local government or health facility asset, and licensed under its name, in compliance with the DOH administrative order on the licensure of land ambulances and ambulance service providers.
The city shall also provide the health personnel, supplies, and operational expenses required for the ambulance's operation and maintenance. It also guarantees that no alterations will be made to the ambulance's existing signs and markings, in compliance with regulatory rules and regulations, The Gavel learned.
The legislation was sponsored by the City Council Committee on Health, Nutrition and Health Insurance, chaired by Councilor Maria Lourdes S. Gaane, and by the Committee on Laws and Rules, chaired by Councilor Edgar S. Cabanlas.
