Dahino cmte OKs payment to lot owner

THE City Council committee on finance, budget & appropriations chaired by Councilor Edna Marban-Dahino during its recent meeting discussed the request for an appropriation of P8,271,402 to cover full payment of just compensation of a lot located at Patpat, Barangay Lumbia.

It was learned that a total area of 31,037 sq. m. will be utilized for the city’s resettlement site/land banking project.

Councilor Dahino clarified the percentage of the buildable and non-buildable areas and inquired if it will be beneficial for the city to purchase the area considering that the slope is 37.84-percent and almost one-half of the total land area in which 63.16-percent is flat.

“It needs bigger amount to develop,” she said.

Dahino also asked concerned officers if the survey conducted and prices are justifiable.

After thorough discussions, the matter was endorsed to the committee on laws and rules for appropriate action subject to the submission of a new Certificate of Availability Funds (CAF).(SP/APDelgra)
