Vice Mayor Raineir Joaquin V. Uy expressed the City Council’s full support to Vincy Labadan Vacalares, Cagayan de Oro’s bet for the Miss Universe Philippines 2021 competition.

Vacalares graced the 102nd session of the City Council seeking support for her Miss Universe journey.

Now one of the top 50 contenders, Vacalares can automatically advance to the Final 30 through votes using the Miss Universe Philippines mobile application.

It was learned that the Final 30 will be composed of 27 candidates selected by Miss Universe Philippines panelists and three who will receive the highest votes from the app.

The voting period started last August 22 and will be open until August 31, 11:59 p.m.

“Please text and vote for her. We are in full support,” Vice Mayor Uy said.

Councilor Jay R. Pascual, chair of the committee on tourism, was tasked to campaign for support to Vacalares in the prestigious Miss Universe competition.
