Dads renew Lease Contract of COMELEC office

THE 20th City Council during its regular session Monday presided over by Vice Mayor Jocelyn B. Rodriguez enacted an ordinance authorizing Mayor Rolando Uy to enter into and sign the Lease Contract (Renewal) with Pilar N. Sia, covering the latter’s three-door commercial building occupied by the Commission on Election (COMELEC) Office located at Cruz Taal-Burgos Streets for the period from January 1, 2022, to December 31, 2022.

However, members of the City Council especially Councilor James K. Judith II are hoping that the City COMELEC will find another place with sufficient parking space and larger office area to accommodate its clients especially during registration of voters and filing of certificate of candidacies.

The legislation was endorsed and reviewed by the committees on finance, budget and appropriations and on laws and rules chaired by Councilors Yan Lam S. Lim and Ian Mark Q. Nacaya, respectively.
