Dads ok Brgy 38 SK 2023 budget



Through a resolution, the 20th City Council, in its regular session Monday presided over by Vice Mayor Bebot Rodriguez, returned as operative the P332,983 Annual Budget for this year of the Sangguniang Kabataan of Barangay No. 38. The said fund was taken from the 10% Development Fund of the Barangay pursuant to RA 10742, otherwise known as the Sangguniang Kabataan Reform Act of 2015, for the implementation of the programs and projects for the youth of the barangay.

Given priorities in the said budget are programs for quality education concerning health (health services/adolescent sexual and reproductive health), environment (environmental protection/climate change adaptation), Linggo Ng Kabataan, and economic empowerment (youth employment and livelihood).


The SK also allocated funds for capability building - leadership training, gender sensitivity, anti-drug abuse campaign, payment of personal services, honoraria, Maintenance and Other Operating Expenses, and other programs aimed at achieving a better quality of life for the youth in the said barangay.


The legislation was reviewed and endorsed by the committees on Sports and Youth Development and on Laws and Rules, chaired by Councilors John Michael Seno and Edgar S. Cabanlas, respectively.
