Dads authorize Mayor to sign DODA for DOH’s ambulance donation
Through an ordinance, the 20th City Council headed by City Mayor Jocelyn B. Rodriguez authorized City Mayor Rolando A. Uy to enter into and sign the Deed of Donation and Acceptance (DODA) with the Department of Health (DOH).
This covers the donation of a one-unit land ambulance including equipment amounting to P1.9 million, which will be donated to the city-owned J.R. Borja General Hospital.
The project is in line with the DOH’s “Boosting Universal Health Care via FOURmula One for Health Plus (or F1+)” Program, which envisions quality health care to be more accessible to the poor and vulnerable population by ensuring the availability of functional health care facilities.
Through the Health Facilities Enhancement Program (HFEP), DOH also aims to improve the delivery of health services through the upgrading of health facilities and provision of motor vehicles in order to make them more responsive to the health needs of the population.
DOH’s provision of ambulances shall contribute to the functionality of the health system and the delivery of quality health care in the city.
The legislation was reviewed and endorsed by the committees on health, nutrition and health insurance and on laws and rules chaired by Councilors Maria Lourdes S. Gaane and Ian Mark Q. Nacaya, respectively.
